Default Cam gear Mayham

ok so I sanged a cam gear for very cheap and put it on my 00 EX. looking at part numbers it apears this AEM 3 bolt gear was intended for 93-95 del sol SOHC.

I have a 2000 civic with a d16y8. can I still run this gear on my car and keep proper timing???

3-bolt cam gears are a shitty idea. They have a tendency to come undone and screw up your timing. Will it work? Yeah, of course. Will it gain you anything without tuning? Hell no it won't.
