Calling all DIY CTR headlights owners
This is to all the people who have done the DIY CTR headlights.... just wondering if you have experienced any leaks or hazing after a few months, years etc....
I would also like to see pics of your masterpieces... thx
p.s If you had your time over again.... would you still do it?

here's mine, they aren't really ctr style, they're black instead of gunmetal or whatever. but i liked them while i had them, they didn't leak and they were a bit hazed before i took them apart. i picked up an OEM set so im rocking those for now. i turned one of the blacked out ones into an intake scoop

I didnt do mine, i got them for free from a friend. They did a shitty *** sealign job with a hot glue gun. Mine were hazed/oxidized when i got them. So i wetsanded them but they only cleared up a lil, but they look way better than before. I need to reseal my headlights with some silicone. I believe the hazyness is mostly on the inside of the headlights.

Re: (89MA70)
If it's gun metal you want, and not black... disregard anything about ebay.
Ok here's my dirty work...
Here's the thing though. If you have a 99-00 I would recommend just going on Ebay and buying a set with a clear reflector and black housing. It's like 100 bucks. I did mine and the seal on them is horrible.
If you want to try to make it work then I would open them up, heat them again while separated... And then scrape ALL of the original silicone off the housings, and clean them up. Then use your own waterproof sealant to close them up.
This way all the tabs and clips will fit properly, and the whole thing will work much better. My lights leak right now, despite trying over and over to add silicone. It's so bad that I resorted to a set off ebay

Hope this helps
