Default California BAR question

so i bought a 94 hatchback vx with a '94 B18b1 swap in it... all the wiring is good, no messed up wires and all sensors hooked up and working, no CEL... it has an msd ignition system which has a carb #.. it also has a hayame short ram intake which also has a carb #....

BUT it has no cat... i definitely need that to get bar'd, am i correct? will i get hassled for the intake and msd? do i need an egr valve? whats it for? also, i was told that if my car is on coilovers i should raise it a bit, is that true? any other tips? suggestions?

Definitely get a cat. It won't pass without one, visual or emssions. You don;t need an EGR, the B18B doesn't use it.

If the OE#'s are for that motor, then you won't get hassled.

Also some states have minimum headlight height requirements.
