from cable to hydraulic tranny questions
Ok guys, I just bought a 93 hatch with a ls/vtec swap and notice my clutch pedal feels weird so I been looking into it and find out I got a b18a1 tranny thats been converted from cable to hydraulic. My question is, what are you supposed to use for the clutch fork? Or whatever the thing is that the slave pushes against to disengage the clutch...Because i know what someone put on my car is NOT right and is ghetto as ****! Please help fellas. Thanks

Re: from cable to hydraulic tranny questions
cant do that! On this tranny, the slave bolts up and down unlike b series hydro trannies bolting side to side

Best fix: Pull the POS cable trans and install correct hydro trans. It will work just like factory...
Seriously.

Well, if you want the free way out and you don't want to fix it right, here is what you can do: Shift 100 rpm's lower than where it grinds at. No more grinds and free fix. LOL.

Re: from cable to hydraulic tranny questions
no need to be a smartass
rpm doesnt matter for grinding, its the speed at which is disengaging the clutch and whatnot
try shifting slower, and dont fuuck with it. save the money for a hydro, and swap it when you have the money
the only reason its grinding is because your being ricer and shifting at high rpm as fast as you can.
so like I said, put the clutch all the way in and give it a second to fully disengage, shift, then let it out a bit slower then usual
holy cow, no more grinding.
or you take the effort and time to inspect the hydro conversion and tighten it up or adjust it or whatever
