cable gsr in hydro car worth it? or keep ls
is there a kit that can allow me to put a cable trans into a 93 civic? I have an ls transmission but I will only put that on my gsr as a last resort and 600+$ hydro gsr transmissions are just out of my budget the car will not see any big power or heavy duty clutches it will remain stock and be used as my daily

This will allow you to convert the cable trans into a hydro setup.

Hey man, I think that link is for a car with cable to hydro. I think you have a hydro car wanting to use a cable tranny. If so I have a kit I am not using and I can trade with you. I have the cut shaft release, slave cylinder, mount and hydro lines. In return I need your cable holder bracket, shaft release and you pay for all shipping. pls let me know if that sound good. pls email me you # to showcivic96ex@netzero.com if u want to talk more and for pictures. thx, Lo

I'm sorry, I misunderstood. The hasport part is to convert a cable transmission vehicle into a hydro one. It won't work for you, sorry.

No you aren't out of luck. Hasport has the kit to do it, just need to go to there website and search a little. My buddy use to have the kit. It comes with a new transmission top mount, and the pieces to convert the cable part to be able to use the slave cylinder. Also if it is a GSR Cable transmission, that means it is a 92-93 tranny and you can use all the internals from those year models in the Hydro casing. I don't know if you are able to take a transmission apart or not, but if you know someone else who can maybe you can get them to do it for you.
Here is the link for the Hasport kit you need for what you want to do.

A friend was looking into putting a hydro trans into a cable car. The pedals WILL swap. This means that all you have to do is swap pedals, cut a hole and make a block off for the old hole. That and get the appropriate bracket for the trans.
The question is if this is worth while. B series parts have come down a little lately. A couple hundred more and you could just have a hydro trans.
