Buy it with a h22 in there...you dont have the time to start from scratch...ITS A LOT OF TIME AND MORE MONEY!

Do it yourself. You have no idea how well the swap was done or what(if any) problems he has. IMO I would never buy a modded(heavily like this) car because of that fact.

I WHOLEHEARTEDLY AGREE. I recently purchased what I thought was a H22 powered Prelude (you can see my thread on H-T about it). I drive it and come to find out it is a hybrid that somehow wasnt done properly. If the guy is your close friend, then MAYBE get the swapped car. Besides all the fun is doign the swap yourself and growing with your car. I mean I know it sounds sentimental and BS but I was SOOOOOOO attached to my 240sx after the swap. That was my blood sweat and tears. Now with my Civic, it will be fulfilling to see it grow from a slow *** car, to whatever it will eventually be

I would buy the nonswapped hatch. You will learn so much doing the work yourself. You won't learn **** buying a car thats already been swapped.

i say buy a stock car and work on it yourself. for me, i enjoy seeing my car going through it's stages(ie: suspension work, cosmetics, swap, etc.) and all the work that you put towards the car is part of the fun in owning a hybrid.

I would do a compression test on the motor, and see if any of the gears grind.
Sometimes you can't pass up a really good deal.

even if you take it for a run then the problems it might have might not even show. might be one of those once in a while things and u can only fix it for a while.
be very cautious. dig up info on the car if u can.
