Default BUMED OUT!!

well the thing i never thought would happen..happened...i wrecked my del sol....tire blew, lost control and jumped onto the median well i know my frount axel is bent and my rear left control arm is fucked up..can anybody tell me how much a new control arm and axel is?? thanks guys

is there anything else thats messed up? you can get an axle and the LCA for no more than 100 dollars from the junkyard. or you can probably find them on h-t classifieds.

an axle is like 60 bux from any autoparts store. lca is like 20 bux tops too

Yup. I got 2 reman'd axles for 90 bux otd. That was WITH a core charge. Granted, I got a great price, but you're still not looking at a ton of dough.

i was going the speed limit 45...thats it?? daaamn i thought it was it was gonna be waaay more expensive...do you might know how much labor would cost me??

I think you may have more damage then you think!! maybe underbody/ chassis damageg so your new axle and contrl arm may not bolt up correct!!

plus how'd your tire blow only going 45? when was the last time you checked pressure? what kind of tire?

i had kumo's on..BRAND NEW ONLY ONE MONTH OLD!!! pissed me off so bad..when i looked at my tire it had un even wear the inside of the tire was bald as crap and the outside still had tread, how is this? enlighten me

you lowered your car and didn't get an alignment. or you just needed one.... you were running a non zero toe setting, which is what will eat your tires like that

They aren't too hard to replace. I would install a new LCA and axle and then hit up a collision shop for an estimate to see if there's any damage. If not, get an alignment because that's probably messed up.

yes i think that is it!! hmm thanks jwn7, EG2 SiR, and clm..i'll take your advice and my car wasn't dropped and i was going to install my coilovers the day i got into the wreck..*sigh*
