built b16a not running like it should
i built this b16a completely from top to bottom and its fast but doesnt seem to be right i think it might need a good tune im runinng a b16b computer it feels like it has nothing much untill 7500 and it pulls strong to 9000 i was think of converting to obd1 and getting it tuned what else could be my problem? i think part of my problem was the tranny gears felt real long it was a 96 gsr and i just put a 4.92 final drive and jdm itr jsd in it it revs faster and pulls harder but still doesnt seem right.
was gona get it tuned for nitrous kit i just got.
it has no check engine light plugs look good doesnt seem to be running too lean or rich.
heres what in it.
wiseco forged 11.5:1 pistons
eagle h beam rods
acl bearings
head studs
crower stage 2 3/4 race cams
crower dual valve springs and retainers
blox intake manifold
short ram intake
jvt 4-1 header
apexi ws2 turbo catback

Re: (gearhead16)
i wanted to keep it obd2 for emissions so i got the b16b computer thinking it would run better because of the map in it is closer specs to my engine than the b16a computer so i want to convert and get it tuned so it will run like it should hopefully.

you have a high compression cammed b16a what exactly do you want it to run like??? i mean 175whp and 115wtq isnt going to make it feel like a rocket.
and those numbers are generous

what do you drive???
also, tune, especially with aftermarket cams and HIGH compression is a MUST. your a/f is probably all over the place.

tell you what you need to find a program for youre application and get youre ecu chipped. it will fix youre lack of power the fuel maps need to be boosting moore fuel and fixing peak power points.
