Building a D16 ground up
Okay guys. I have a 95 Civic EX and I'm in the process of building it for street racing. I know, "go with a "B" series." Anybody can brag about a b series that will move, but my goal is building a competitve D. I have many basic aftermarket upgrades done, such as intake, header straightpiped to racing muffler, MSD ignition, chipped ECU, etc. I've got a long way to go in looks and performance, but I'm starting with the engine itself. I need information (preferred over opinions) on the best pistons, rods, rings, and camshafts for a D16 that will have an Apex International turbo and Nitrous both. I know the question, "how much boost you gonna run?" is coming. I want it to be able to hold the boost I want regardless of how much. Keep it real. Thanks

I do hope by saying 'street racing,' you mean taking it to the track.

Boost and turbo
you should sleeve the block stock bore
eagle rods
arp rod bolts
forged pistons stock bore 9.2-9.5 compression (keep it low for boost)
arp head bolts
cometic headgasket
Port and polish the heads (make sure they use portflow)
Ferrea valvetrain
zex 59300 cam
hondata
you'll be good to go

Re: (yanta)
Hey Yanta, I don't know who left something up your pipe, but get a life. To the rest of you all, when I say street racing, Imean Iwant to keep it "street legal" but I want it to be as fast as possible. I'm a cop and have been for more years than Yanta can count. This rebuilding thing is new to me and I asked you all for help. To you all that tried for this, Thanks for your time. To Yanta and others that had a fight with there boyfriend, buy a friend, you could use one. Strokerd16
