Default building a b17a

im going to build a high reving track/street/freewayracer motor and i have had a b16a and blwe two of them up so i know a lot of people that have built b18c's like allmotor gsrs or "poor mans type r" or all motor type r so i was going to got he different way and build a b17a casue it has a better r/s ratio than a b18c

b18c is 1.58
b17a is 1.62
b16a is 1.74
the perfect r/s is 1.75

so im just wondering if anybody knows anyone who ahs built a b17a i wanted to know what was the horse power that they got out of it and maybe the times it ran
THANKS

i just recently had my b17 installed in my ed....in the near future i will be doing ctr cams and itr pistons with a itr intake maifold....i think this should be a good combo..after i get my z10 crossmember i will also add a d-c jdm 4-1 header.

my thouhgts exactly...11.4:1 compression, good r/s ratio, lil more torque than b16a, but RARE...how'd you find one...or did you yet, if not, good luck.

How Involved is the Hybrid w/ B17a 's Crank into the B20B (Jdm vtec b20?)???This equals 1.9L I hear!!! Alot of touring cars run high compression , high reving destroked motors.
It would seem that this setup would give ample Torque, midrange, and high rpm power due to its rod ratio. A b20 peaks lower than an ITR or CTR. So by destroking it, one can have the best of both worlds. Has anyone out there done this w/ the Jdm vtec b20 block before...How dificult? If it is a pain in the kiester and tons of $$$ I will just bore my b17a or swap for a b18c1 if someone will trade me?
