Broke off passenger side drum bleeding screw
My car is a Canadan Si (USDM EX). I just changed the shoes and drums. One of the pistons came out while i was changing the shoes on my passengers side rear. So i got myself a self bleeding kit and a bleeding wrench. Well, i ended-up breaking-off the bleedng screw.... i didn't get it out enough to start leaking fluid, but i really have to get the air out. I'm at a loss here, i don't even know what i should replace... Any help would be awesome.

easiest thing is to replace the whole caliper, unless you can drill it out but your more then likely to get contaiminents in the piston and screw it up so I would just replace it to be safe. If you do decide to drill it out take the caliper apart and clean out all the metal shavings inside you dont want ANYthing left in there that can mess with your brakes.

K, well i bought a new Wheel cylinder for $25. I had headaches getting the brake line off and almost stripped it. Anyways, the new cylinder is on and appears to be working. Now i'm having issues with the brake peddal being soft. I've blead that wheel about 4 times now. I'm starting to think that i'll have to bleed the others too....
I'm also thinking in the back of my mind that the brake line may be leaking, i don't see it or hear it though.
How much $$ would it cost for a new line coming off where it's mounted to the trailing arm? It goes from there under the hub and then up to the cylinder.
I've got a coupe btw, i don't even think cdn Si hatchies exist.

bleed all 4 wheels start with the furthest from your master cylinder and work your way up to it. take a while and sucks *****, and your friend always gets stuck with the hard part of getting brake fliud on him. also make sure you close the bleeder before you release the brake or else you've suked air back into the system
