Default Break pedal going to ground Help pls.

so recently my pedal has went maybe 1 inch from ground. so we figured it was air in the lines... checked nope.. so got a new master cyl to see if that would fix the problem.. so we put one in, bleed breaks, and now the pedal is even worse it goes all the way, so we thought hey maybe its a defective.. so we got another rebuilt.. put it in, bleed breaks, Bam Still down to ground so anyone know what the prob might be? when the car is off the break sits about 4-5inchs from ground, when i turn the car on bam pedal back down to floor. so if u have any helpful tips pls let me know. thanks.

make sure you have no leaks first. do you have drums? if yes make sure your wheel cylinders are not leaking also. did you bleed your car in the correct sequence. it goes left rear-right front. right rear-left front.

from what ive been reading i thought it was farthest from mc first, r-r, l-f, l-r, r-f. for bleeding seq, or rr,lr,rf,lf, but alot of articals i read talk about X bleeding is better for some reason. but ya i bleed em ill check the wheel cyl now. but why would the orig cyl be better then the new rebuilts? if the cyls were leaking wouldnt it have effected my orig one worse?

yeah i typed it backwards my bad, its farthest to closest, diagonally. brakes are weird sometimes, you fix one problem and then the other problem comes to light. did you bench bleed the master? when you were bleeding your brakes were you getting good pressure coming out of the lines? this may sound dumb but maybe this master might not be good also. alot of times when im at work and i put in the rebuilt ones, almost 8 out of 10 times they are no good. then we end up ordering new ones. just a thought.

ya we bench bleed all the masters, so far this is the wierdest/worst fix my dad has fixed master wise. out of all the cars we owned and change stuff on, my car now has been the only one to give probs lol. we ended up putting the old master on since its better then the rebuilts. the pedal is still low though maybe 1inch from ground or so if not less.... bad luck for me i guess
