brake upgrade
give me the low down on Brembo brakes. which are better...the blanks or x-drilled and slotted?....either way im still going with brembo..but i want to know which is more bang for the buck...im also going towards the stainless brake lines...either from earls or jg edelbrock....are brake lines easy to install?....do they make a big difference?....what are good pads to use with brembo rotors?....i might also be getting some rear disc brakes.....so tell me what you think of my setup....give me some enlightenment please.

Re: brake upgrade (95 EJ)
good street setup...brembo blanks (don't get drilled or slotted!) w/ Axxis Ultimate pads. STainless lines don't improve braking. They only improve feel.

Re: brake upgrade (bhcvc)
brake lines doesn't improve braking?!....
"Stainless steel brake lines eliminate the expansion that occurs when using rubber hoses, increasing braking performance up to 30%".....is this a lie or what?....please inform me

Re: brake upgrade (Electron Blue)
Stainless lines dont improve your braking much if at all for everyday street driving.
BUT at the autox or track where you use your brakes enough to heat up your brake fluid to the point your rubber hoses expand when braking; stainless lines help A LOT. The stainless lines wont expand, so braking energy isn't wasted expanding the rubber hoses. Which basically means your brakes will feel more consistent throughout the tempature range of your brakes....assuming you are using good pads.
