Default Brake Part #/compatability Q

Im finally doing my front integra brake swap and am in the process of ordering the last parts...ran into a problem.

Does anyone know the part # of 12 in the picture? -Pad Spring-

I've tried to order it at several online dealerships and even drove out to "local" dealerships....none of them have it and none of them can tell me the part #.

(Will the ex/si caliper spring fit?)

Do I even need this part?

Correct. It pushes down on the pads (like a spring) and keeps the pads from moving up.

As for finding that part, go to a local auto part store (not a chain, family owned) and ask them for that part. They know more than the avg. part pusher. IF they do not have it, they maybe able to get it for you.

Plus, the dealer should have it. You may have spoke to a dumbass.

Some use a flat style piece of metal that the tabs of the pads fit i. I do not know off hand what models came with or without them.

The pad spring part number from Honda is 45227-SM4-003. Honda should have it, that part comes up on many different models. Like, CR-V, Prelude, Accord, Acura Vigor, Legend, 97-98, 00-01 Integra Type-R, etc.... http://www.slhondaparts.com has it for $5.58 if you want it online. Im sure you can get that from your local Honda or Acura dealer, but depending on what parts the particular dealer you visit, you may need to order it, but you can receive it within a few days.

Yes, it is the same spring. That spring works on the models I mentioned and a few other models as well.
