Default brake light

ok heres the situation when i bought my car the brake light and check engine light were on now they have been on for a while i have put new brakes on but i havnt done the rear... i also noticed when ever i hit a bump or slow down it starts flickering liek it wants to go off.. and if anyoen could give me a few pointers on why my check engine light might be on plz let me know ty

Brake light = check your fluid level

Engine light = find out the code using the service connector

fluids fine and i had the car checked it said something about my distributor but the car runs good and strong

im not sure i had it checked about 2 months ago but the guy who did it was a friend and a young dude so im not sure if he messed up on reading the code because i havnt had a problwem yet just the lights are pissing me off

could anythign be wrong with the drums in the back that would make the light stay on ?

brake light check the floaters in the tank its prolly clogged suck it out and clean it then put new fluids in
