brake leak that progressed
So, I haven't looked under the car behind the tires yet for leaks but I am a new owner of a 1994 honda del sol with a 1999 honda civic d16y8 engine in it.
Basically when I first had the car for a week it had a brake leak but the brake light would come on after about a week and a half to two weeks. I've had it for about 2 months almost and now i'm lucky if I make it all day before the brake light comes on.
When I checked under the hood I found the silver thing with the brake lines attached and obviously see leaks there but probably not enough to be my main leak.. I'd still would like to know what that is and why its leaking and why that close up pic of it has that circle with what looks like a bolt went there but rounded off, but its completely smooth...
And I also found that hose that i circled to be completly saturated in some sort of liquid wondering if anyone knows what that hose is for?
Thanks guys!

Silver thing = brake proportioning valve and you'll need to replace it.
Hose = brake booster vacuum hose.
It looks like quite a lot of your engine is covered in liquid, most likely brake fluid.

brake booster vacuum hose has liquid inside, may have a master cylinder leaking and being sucked into the intake manifold.

alright and underneath the brake booster vac hose on the picture is a hose with the clamp on it, that is saturated as well any idea what that one is? Is this stuff covered if I found the link to the fsm or chiltons?
