Default 96 Civic Starter Issue

Hello. Can always turn to you guys for help. I went to start the car today and only got fuel pump primed. I left the key in the ignition in the run position and went under the hood and used a wire from the battery to the small post where the little black/white wire go and it fired right up. Have I pretty much isolated the issue to the ignition switch? Are there any other fuses or relays between the ignition switch and the black/white wire going to the starter solenoid? TIA

Neutral safety switch if a auto trans and a no start switch on the clutch peddle is a standard.

Thanks for the reply. It is a manual. I even went under that dash and manually pushed the switch for the clutch pedal and still no go. Do these switches go bad after a while?

Be sure you have the clutch safety and not the cruse control.

Start here^.

The safety switch is at the top of the clutch pedal whereas the cruise switch is lower down on the pedal.

Also check whether the rubber stopper that presses on the safety switch fell out.

The rubber has been missing for a while and I have been manually pressing to start by reaching up under dash. I plan to bridge that harness plug to see if it is a faulty clutch switch. If still no start it must be ignition switch?

If voltage doesn't reach the safety switch connector with the key held in ON(III), then test the ignition switch.
