Default Bought it swapped with an auto trans!!

Bought my son his first builder 94 civic eg with the b18b1 swap with an auto trans . The car had been slightly hit in the front ,im replacing the core support . as im attempting to put it all back together with new core support it doesn't fit right,i decide to replace all the motor mounts do to the others where way beyond broken. trans mounts look wrong and looks like the trans will not fit since i fixed the core support, the auto trans seems to way longer than a manual gbx . Any help would appreciated thank you you 94hatchman

Have you ensured that the frame itself hasnt been tweaked or bent in an accident?

passenger side was pulled out slightly but has been pulled back in to correct the core support opening .The auto trans it self is alot larger than the manual gbx, i have only seen pics of the manual gbx to get my references from the mount to the edge of the transmission

the core support has nothing to do with where the tranmission is mounted.

Also, without laser equipment and the autobody factory service manual for complete frame specs and positions, you may have just created your disaster by pulling in the frame when it may have been in the correct spot and something else is awry that the core support isn't sitting right.

Manual trans bracket is different from an auto trans bracket. And Civic D-series auto trans bracket is different from the B-series auto bracket. You can harvest a bracket from a 94-01 Integra with B-series Auto trans and weld that in. But seriously ... at this point, why not teach him how to drive a manual?!?! He'll grow up way cooler.

I hope you pulled it with the old rad support still welded in, if not you're pretty well screwed. Most B-series automatic transmissions are too long to fit and require notching the frame rail or at least massaging it with a sledge hammer. They really don't fit that chassis well. A manual is a bolt in swap.
