Bought my first car.
Been searching for a good first car for months now and finally picked one up. I looked at a handful of different cars before finding this: a 93 Civic Si hatch, a 94 Civic that needed a transmission but had no rust and some terrible mods, a 91 E30 318iS, a FB RX-7 with only 135000kms on it, a 96 Civic Si coupe, but they all had either too many problems or asking too much for what they wanted. Earlier this week though my brother sent me a link to an ad for a 95 Civic CX with no pictures and barely a description but I sent the guy an email and went to look at it. Turns out to be almost totally rust free with just a few dings here and there, the guy was asking $2300. He was the second owner and needed something bigger so he could fit all his family in one car (4 kids), said the original owner was a chemistry professor who just drove it to work and back.
The one bad thing was that it was not inspected, but I took the risk and bought it for $1900 (including two sets of wheels and tires, both with decent tread) yesterday, and brought it to the shop today. Turns out all it needed was rotors and pads and $200 later it was inspected and ready to go! Besides the few dings here and there outside, the driver side seat has a rip in the bolster, and the passenger side rubstrip was falling off so I took it off and will reinstall the next nice day.
Sorry about the bad pics, I might take some better ones when their is sun out instead of rain.
Yes, that odometer is in KMs, only 105k!!!
Even came with this awesome 50w Audiovox tape deck!
My plan is to drive it through the winter and next summer fix up all the dings and paint on the body, maybe a few exterior mods like an Si lip, right side mirror, JDM fogs, and a small hatch wing. Then after all that, money permitting, I will move into the engine bay. Don't worry though, this won't be like the average 20 year old's Civic, no bodykits or fartcans here.

From a fellow Canadian to a fellow Canadian, get that thing rustproofed if you guys get HALF the salt we get here in Ottawa. You would be amazed how fast the quarter panels can start to rot just after one season. Nice pickup though, low mileage and lightest model

congrats... looks clean!!!!!!!! only mod id do to it is swap out the cluster for a EX or SI cluster with a tach.....
and by rubstrip you mean the thing that goes over the rear wheel well lip? if so ive heard that you should remove them... because they help hold moisture and can cause rust there.

I'll definitely look into taking the inner fender covers off.

do us all a favor and please measure how high it sits... from the floor to the wheelwell. Ive been trying to find the measurments for a stock hatch but have had no luck ( the measurements help out when lowering , that way we can know exactly how many inches were lowering it .
