I bought the exhaust new and it seems to be in 4 pieces but I thought there was only 3. the axle back section...a long section...another curved section. But then there was another piece that came with it that looks exactly like a test pipe.

Does anyone else with a coupe/sedan from 96-98 have this exhaust?? Does yours come with 4 pieces?? Is that pipe a test pipe?? I dont want to buy one if it came with one.

Buy it and sell the test pipe. Just bolt the exhaust up to your cat instead of removing the cat and putting the test pipe in.

I dont know if its a test pipe or not...thats what i am trying to figure out

If everything else bolts up to the car then your fine. Just hold up the "test pipe" to your cat and see if its the same length/flanges... If it is... Then put it on/leave it. Its up to you.

I currently dont have a cat though. Just trying to see if this exhaust normally comes with 4 pieces.

Email HKS and ask them. Or the person/company you bought it from.
