i have a b18LS 1.8 engine. I wanna bore it to possibly a 2.2 if its possible? do yall think it would be worth it? a local garage told me they bore engines for around 1500. is that a good price?

i dont know if it is possible to bore it to a 2.2 but you have to remember when you bore it, the cylinder walls get thinner and less tolerant to heat which causes early engine failure. i know you can safely bore it to a 2.0.

maybe if u bore it and resleeve the cylinder walls u can get up to 2.1 or what not maybe somewhere close but im sure u will have to buy new rods and pistons if u go that route and all that stuff adds up to a Shyt load of money hope u have it and good luck let me no how it turns out.

wont cause as much but just do a lot of researching on it before you do it.
i would jump over to the integra forum and see what FAQ's they got on it and ask them on what you cant find out.
