Boost the D16y8 or swap b16a?
lately there a lot of ppl who wants to race me, like when both cars at the stop light, ppl keep rev their engine and it pisses me off cos I cant accelerate for shyt, this happens like 4 times a week now. So I want to make my car faster, which would cost more boost or swap? thank you.

a complete turbo kit for d series is around somewhere from $750~$1200..u can find the chaper ones.but i doubt the quality and the complete b16a obd1 swap is around $2000... for more reliable drive and engine set up ..i would go with b16a...
it all depends on your budget and boost or N/A

dont make your car faster because you want to street race. but if you want to make a faster car i say go with the b series.

Make sure you put on a turbo that is big enough that it will ensure that when you hit a wall street racing, it will kill your dumb street racing ***.
However. More torque is what you want for a takeoff. Even with a turbo, it'll take a bit to spool up before you get the boost, so you still might get smoked on the hole shot, so if you go turbo, get the smallest that will do the job so you have the shortest amount of time to kick in.
Or, you could save up and go with something like a GSR swap, which gives you tons of torque and HP right at the gas pedal, no spooling.

Hey, I'm all for people street racing. Hopefully the ones dumb enough to do it will kill themselves before they breed. I ran ambulances for a long time, I've had to scrape up a bunch of dead/messed up teens because they were street racing. If you had to do it once, you'd never race off of a track/strip again.

Well still, the reasoning for wanting boost or a b series swap is pretty rediculous. If the only reason you want to do either of these things is because people rev their engines at you, then don't.

Feed the single cam some giggle gas. About 75 hp should do. Then when you blow it up, swap in a B. Make sure you put a MoTec exhaust in, too. I've heard they make alot of power......... saw it in a movie..........

Yeah, but you need the fuel management system that magically disappears, and the floor plate that magically REappears to get the full effect.
