bogging vtec-e
ok so recently i ran out of gas and have been running it all the way down to E. so when i reach around 3000rpm (vtec-e kick in point) it boggs and feels like im being pulled back. would this be due to a gas related problem? if so i need a good fuel injector cleaner.

Re: (HXvtec)
Its sounds like you need a new fuel filter. When was the last time you changed your oil? I have a 97 HX and I had the same problem but all I did was change oil and my v-tec kicked hardcore. My sister wrecked my car though so I am driving my old 89 LX-i Accord around now. But check your oil and your fuel filter and hopefully that will fix the problem.

Fuel pump, and or flter is takeinga **** on you.. when u run a car down to e like that your heating up the fuelk pump, it needs that fuel tyo keep it cool.. thus by you running it to E, its not getting the proper cooling needed, also your creating avacum in your tank as well..

Also fuel injector cleaner is pointless. just put some race gas in it, that will also help clean out your fuel filter..and you get the really cool smell
