bogging problem when i hit vtec
my car is a 98 civic hb w/ lsvtec (gsr head) running on a obd1 gsr ecu. using stock harness
ok the car idles a little funny and when im about to hit vtec, sometimes it just boggs out and sometimes it would hit vtec but bogg out in the next gear. i think its running rich too cause gas is going down like no other! my friend says its cause i need a 96-98 civic ex harness but i've swaped it out with a 99-00 si harness before and it gives me the same problems. i've replaced the o2 sensor but my knock sensor is broken could this be why its bogging or the wiring? what are the proper steps to finding the problem?
update
it starts bogging around 4k rpm and throwing o2 sensor code, knock sensor and soemthing about the fuel. i've already tried replacing the ecu to see if the ecu is bad. checked the wiring and everything seems to be good. what to do
