the smoke is normal. alot of b16 head/b16's tend to smoke in Vtec cuz it increasing the oil pressure since it basically running the motor harder.

check under your oil cap.. if there is cottage cheese lookin stuff under the cap, the head gaskets done..drain your coolant if chocolate water comes out your gaskets done..and "smoke can be normal, but white smoke tends to show its head with a blown gasket..my vtec only "smokes" on real cold mornings..good luck

What do you mean by pressure?

Take off the cap when cold, run the car look down in the radiator, see any bubbles? Do the same for the overfill tank.

You can always do a block test, a compression test will not tell you if you have a blown headgasket, just trouble with the engine, it helps to determine engine troubles.

when i start my car the upper radiator hose gets reallly high pressure almost instantly and my coolant some what smells like exhaust fumes.. but if it is a blown head wouldnt it overheat??

Not all the time, exhaust gases get into coolant then you have a blown head gasket.

Any white smoke out the tail pipe just running it say when reving at idle?

your head gasket is more then likely done for.

Replace it, your water pump, and flush the crap out of the cooling system.
it would also be a good time, to inspect/replace the timing belt.

Check for leaks on the cam seals, replace if needed, as well as the oil seal behind the oil pump.

The head gasket is almost surely blown.

yup Head gasket is toast, they dont always blow from oil galley to water galley which causes the classic "chocholate milk" oil...... I have seen several on differnt car blow from water galley to combustion chamber, wich can cause white smoke (coolant burning in cyl) and a mysterious loss of cooliant but no drips under car (again its burning off in the cyl).....

I acctually just did a job on a y7 that was exactly this about 3 months ago...

sorry, not too bad or expensive if you do the work urself though
