Default Block #'s

Is there any way to run block #'s on motors to
determine if it's a legit block? Any help would
be appreciated. Thanks.

Take the # to your police department and have them run it for you.

actually you have to take the actual motor to the police department if you want to do that. because if they do find out its a hot block, then they can take it from you on the spot.

A friend of mine just got a new motor for his car from the junkyard. The motor has had all the vin numbers pulled off of it. Is there another way to see if the block is stolen or legit? Any other numbers on the block that we can run? The number on the tranny was gone too. But we do have a receipt from the junkyard just no numbers. I cant even get the numbers off the car, because the motor had already been pulled and was just sitting on the ground when we got there to look at it.
