ek civic project
I have a 94 ls integra that is up for sale. I want to pick up a 96 up civic hatch, I'm putting a fully built ls turbo in it i have the head built an the a rev hard stage 2 kit i'm working on finding a block to get sleeved. Well let me get to the point, how much should I pay for a ek. I was hoping to only spend like 4500 on the car an then have the rest to finish my project. Am I lowballing to much?

Re: ek civic project (thejdmkid)
depends on where you're located. go to states where trucks are the majority and you'll prolly find an ek for cheap. if you're in cali or anywhere else that likes ek's, then you'll be hard pressed to find one for below $6k. Most of hte ones I've seen in socal are between $6k and $12k (yeah, crazy that they sell them for $12k). Anyways, for $4500, you can get a good EG chassis. I know you prolly like the looks of the EK more (so do I), but the EG's are easier to come by and I've seen them for as cheap as $2k for a fully functional, no prob car. HTH.

Re: ek civic project (brokstar)
I am in norcal as well and I found a 96 CX BONE stock for $5000.
Here is a hint. Dont look for cars in the parts trader or diablo dealer, that is where all the "racers" look. You need to look in the classified section of local papers where old ladies put their cars....
Ok, since I already got mine, I'll let you know where to look on the net. I have also found 98 GSR's here for under 9k etc etc.... CHEAP..
Goto http://www.cars.com
They farm classified adds from newpaper adds all over the place. I got mine from some dude in Santa Rosa that didn't even know how popular the ek hatches are.
Good luck
