BLANG BLANG Civic Style...?
I have a really good income now and am thinking of either trying to fix up my 939 Civic VX hatch w/ a k20 and some other goodies, or, purchasing a new car such as maybe an 2006 RSX-S or something like that in the next year or so.
The only good things I can think of when it comes to buying a new car is:
Pros
New Car
Warranty
Cons
Full Coverage Insurance
Car Payment
Whereas with an older car that is fully paid for..
Pros
Paid off
Cheaper Insurance
More Money to play around with.
Cons
Older
No A/C if I swap k20 (unless I can get something custom done)
Just don't know which way to go.. anyone have some opinions on what they'd do in a similar situation?

if that were true, you wouldn't buy honda. I say get the rsx, for resale value purposes. If you do swap, you'll lose a lot of $ when you finally decide to sell that swapped car.

When I say really good income, I mean.. I'm making around 45k/yr.. sorry. Guess to certain ballers such as yourself 45k is minimal.
I eventually will be going for a Benz as I being making more and more money but 45k/yr isn't bad starting out.

Yea, I'm still taking classes but I just happened to get in at a good company where my base pay equals around 30k/yr but with a bonus structure that is easy to obtain, I made around 45k/yr.

Get the best of both worlds and get the 2006 Si with the RSX Type-S motor in it
RSX's look like trash to me
I'm have the same dilema with keeping my Si hatch (1994) or getting an NSX
NSX =
Insurance/Car payment =
But you only live once

lol, not even dude. The first day I got my car running (this past sunday) I was on the way home from my buddys house. This rsx type s waves me on. I do nothing because:
I'm breaking in the clutch
I don't know how to drive the car with the race clutch
My gauge lights are out for some reason and its nighttime
My silencer flew out of my exhaust on the way to my buddy's house when i gave it gas, and i didn't want that to happen again.
I bought my motor new with 6miles on it and the motor itself needs to be broken in
I am untuned
Anyway, a few miles later, we end up together on the road and he guns it and starts to take off. I couldnt' resist. I mean comeon, I used to have a d15b7.
I ease it into 3rd and accellerate smoothly (i didnt' floor it because of stated reasons). I didn't come close to redlining it. I shift smoothly into 4th and and give it about 75% throttle and pass him rather quickly and then shut down.
An EG hatch has alot of potential. A k swapped EG is a beast.

And that's why I'm making one.
Do you know about what mpg you get in the swapped hatch?

But mine is a 2.4L so it'll prob be alittle worse than the 2.0L
