So, like I said, my idle was going from 600-1400 rpm at stoplights... not like up and down constantly, well, sometimes yeah, but will drop or rise to random idles after i blip the throttle with the clutch in. it ran fine under power, but would idle like crap. Now, only occasionally will it idle erratically, but every time i clutch it and hit the brakes, it drops to @ 200 and almost stalls, then sits somewhere around 500-800 rpm. wtf? and I'm figuring that my oily exhaust discharge and smoke are valve seals, but without pulling the head, can't rule out rings or something worse. changed the head gasket/timing belt @ 6k ago. the black smoke is really bothering me though... anyone with same experience? no cel. not once. I don't wanna kill my car! oh yeah, 95 d16z w/ I/H/E
