Exactly what I did. Just make sure you primer and prep the locks first, then put clear over them, or the paint will come off if you scratch up against it.

those hood pins = my hood flying up and smashing windshield and roof bad install but i also found that they are rarely installed well!!!

i've heard of horror stories w/ hoodlocks, but they mostly related to people using them w/out the stock latch. i've had mine for a year now with no problems (i still have the latch).

Hood pins are supposed to be used in addition to the stock hood latch. Mostly on CF hoods incase the latch hook becomes weakened and snaps, you still have something holding your hood down.

maybe with hood locks, but with hood pins ...there are a ton of race cars and a few street cars running around w/o latches and just hood pins who do just fine at high speeds. but to get back OT, i've heard stories about the hood locks gonig bad due to the key part on the lock stripping.
