best motor to turbocharge?
Which B-series motor is best for turbocharging in terms of reliability and potential to create power (given that pistons, rods, injectors, other internals, etc will be upgraded/replaced for the turbo).

Re: best motor to turbocharge? (ziich)
That's not an easy question to answer, so many options to go with. I'd say go with whichever one you can find the cheapest (probably B16A or B18A/B). Use the money saved for internals and a good turbo build. I've got a turbo B18B myself, and I'm happy with it (internals are all stock, boosting 6psi).
The theory is that the B16 is the most reliable (re: rod stroke ratio), and it responds well to mods (re: good flowing head). The longer stroke of the B18B (resulting in lower compression) makes it a good candidate for turbocharger "out of the box." The B20B is another good option (being it's a big-bore B18B), though possibly more expensive. Once you start messing with internals, though, it's a different story -- it all depends on what internals you go with and who does the motor buildup.
If this is a daily street driver, and you want something simple, fun, and fast (i.e. 200+whp and not a lot of down time), go for the LS/turbo.
