Best care tips for 150K engine? additives, maintenance, etc...
Ok - with the advice of almost everyone who posted - I saved 1500 by not getting an OEM cat and o2 sensor at the shop.
What this means is I have some money to play with - and I would like to take some preventative measures to ensure my engine runs its best.
I am scheduled to get the timing belt replaced (how it made it 150k I do not know) and whatever belts need replaced along with it. Its had a tune not too long ago (new plugs/wires) and I plan on an oil change in the short future.
Should I add anything with the oil? anything in the fuel tank?
Anything that will benefit me in the long run would be great.

i'd stick with oil in the motor and gas in the tank.
if you like you can try some sea foam or maybe a lucas fuel injector cleaner, your best preventative maintenance is to follow the path set for you by honda, which besides the timing belt it seems you are.
just as many people who swear by additives will swear that they are awful, the only additive i've ever used is restore, and that has never been on my honda(s).

Save the money until something goes really bad, and just do the regular maintenance and it should last you about 34343434343 more years=]. if you want get that timing belt changed, a timing belt that snaps can ruin the motor completely. maybe buy some things that will increase gas mileage like a K&N filter.
please dont use seafoam or any of that hardcore carbon buildup cleaner. i've never heard of a car not running because of carbon buildup. if anything it should make your car more economical. chevron with techron or vpower or w.e additives they use in some gas stations should be enough.

In the long run it should. Iunno, but it should raise mpg about 1-3 or something like that. An air filter usually costs about that much, if you want you can get a ram air intake instead of just the stock one. Iunno if it'll help improve mpg over the stock setup with a K&N filter.
