best bolt ons?
I have a 95 civic ex coupe, and was wondering what exactly would be the best bolt ons to get the most horse power. I know a swap would be ideal but thats a little out of my range right now! thanx

if you are going to do a swap in the future, i would say not to spend a lot of money on your sohc, i would get intake, header, exhaust, and maybe get a good clutch and take out the a/c,power steering, and cruise control, this helps alot, and it is a weight reduction, and you could also try and do some weight reduction by taking out some of the interior, but you can try some of these and i hope everything works out, good luck

i think NOS will be the best power for your money. If not NOS then a INTAKE/HEADER/EXHAUST. If you have to go with one first go with the exhaust and then the INTAKE and then the header (IMO)

Intake/Header/Exhaust won't yield that much of a power gain unfortunately.
for instance:
CAI: $200
Header: $300
catback Exhaust: $400
total gain ~10whp (being generous)
Still, if you can't afford a turbo or swap, get the Intake first, then exhaust, then header.

If you're planning on a swap eventually simply get an exaust now. Save the $$ from intake and header (that you'd throw away once you swap) or maybe put it in to suspension/brakes/wheels/tires (things that will noticeably increase performance and stay with the car).
That's what I plan on when I finally get my car. I have thought it out many a times now, and that is clearly the way to go.

Well seeing how I got my CAI for $75, my Header for $280 and my exhaust for free, I'd say I didn't waste my money. Oh and I forgot my test pipe for $20.

either way..if u want cheap power in the short term..go the way of the juice..either juice or turbo, ur going to shorten the life of ur motor alot..and juice is alot cheaper than air..in the mean time..build up ur suspension and ull find out how much better ur car ride is..also upgrade ur brakes cuz i dont want u dead either .. ..remember that alot of power without good susp. is like a guy doing all chest and no legs

Re: best bolt ons? (deepnite)
Get an exhaust and save for the swap. You can use the exhaust later w/ the swap, and it will make you feel fast cause it is loud.
