bent valvue/ skipped tooth question,
ok my friend just put is gsr togeather and idint tighten the timing belt properly and he started the motor for 10 seconds and the timing belt skipped a couple of teeth in the cam gears it kept running untile he turned it off... and tried to restart ....wouldnt start... so her checked the timin and it was off a by like 5 teeth... so fixed it right and it idols fine... do you think it could have bent any of the valvues or internal parts???

Not sure about GSR engines, but on most engines you can get away with that. Espesially if it run just fine now.

sick... hell be stoaked... he said it made a weird squeek noise thought... he couldnt tell where but he said it sounded like metal on metal... if it had all bent valvues wouldnt it idol like ****.....
