just a simple question, when you are adjusting the belt tension for the drive belts, how will you know what is the right amount of tension? i dont want to overtighten or anything.

A shop manual will show you how to measure "belt defelction", but you can do it by feel. Give it a tug and it should move it about 1/2"-3/4" from it's static position. Go back in about 500 miles and readjust them as they will stretch a bit. You'll start to hear them "squeak" at low rpm's, like pulling away from a stop light.
