i sprayed some belt dressing on the belts today to make the little noise go away but i found that it increased it. is this normal or i should wait a bit to see the difference ?

if you sprayed ur belts and it just got louder.. that means its time for some new belts. It usually means that ur belts are so cracked or bad that the dressing just soaked into the cracks and prob made them expand more.
belts are only like 8 bucks anyway buy some goodyears and replace them

i dont like belt dressing.

try soapy water.

take a look at the belts, visually inspect them. feel the underside of them.

Check the pulley from whence the noise originates, 'n be sure its not your power steering pump suckin air. Try a small glom of gear oil on the teeth side.

never spray belt dressing on belts

now when you change them your new belts will squeel unless you spend an hour geting all of the belt dressing off your pulleys
