Default BCII sticking out quite a bit..

just put a BCII on my eg hatch last night. it is bolted up nice and everythign sounds great, but it sticks out from the bottom of the bumper probably 4 inches. i think its supposed to sit back in farther, is it because i dont have an aftermarket header yet?

Are you running a USDM length (16") cat as opposed to a JDM length (12")?

it has no cat. i have an adjustable test pipe. but before i bolted the b-pipe to the test pipe, i just let it hang from the hangers and it still stuck out. i havent measured the test pipe, but i cant take out another segment. im pretty sure its probably 12". its got the usdm header, a test pipe, then the BCII. i was looking at pictures on the BCII thread, and a lot of EGs that have them look like they stick out kinda like mine. so i wonder if its just how it was designed.

on a side note, its vibrating on the frame quite a bit. im gonna try to dick with the hangers and fix it, but if it doesnt work, would heat wrapping the tail pipe help with the vibrations?

You're running a Buddy Club Spec II with a test pipe? lol. Rattling will be the least of your issues.

The piping shouldn't be resting against your frame

yea, i know this. it seems that my hangers are holding the exhaust up to high. i might try to find hangers that hang lower than the ones that are on it now.

Glad you like the sound, because that's the only thing you'll be hearing when you drive the car.

You know you could have saved money and weight by just putting resonator and turn-down off of your test pipe. Not like that would have been any louder.
