Battery/Alternator indicator light on very dimly
I have a 98 Civic LX-EJ6 stock D16Y7 engine. Battery indicator stays constantly dim when car runs and only started when I swapped out all the stock cluster lights for LEDs - the damn battery charge light was blown previously and I didn't notice it.
No dim or flickering lights, wipers etc.
No problem with weak battery or starting car.
No fuse 15 problems.
Alt. belt is tight.
Alt w/ new belt & battery installed December 2013. Battery new, alt probably reman (installed by my trusted garage mechanics on 12/09/2013 battery was put in about 24 hrs earlier)
Voltage test run with ANALOG multimeter:
car off ~12.5v
car running ~14.25-14.5v
car running with brights, ac on/fan high, aftermarket fogs on,aftermarket stereo, and accessory plug in use ~ 14.5-14.75v
Took car to Advanced Auto 3-4 days ago when I first noticed it and had them test the charging system, battery, starter, and any parasitic drain. All were good so they said.
Pulled 4 pin (GREEN COLORED) alt connector with car OFF after multimeter tests & turned ignition from OFF to ON(II) [engine off]. Light does not come on.
Any ideas or do I need to see about replacing the alt yet again?
EDIT: Fixed a few idiot typos on my part and updated with actual date of alt installation after finding the service receipt.

Re: Battery/Alt. indicator light on very dim
I believe what Ron Burgandy is saying is the LED is at fault because there could be a live ground wire tapping into that particular led and causing it to come on.
