battery going dead!?
okay i have a 92 civic. i got a new battery. my problem is that when its unplug(ground) the battery drain out and the car wont start. in 24 hours the battery is dead. it still recharged but will later died out. i jump start my civic and it works fine. when i unplug ground to test if the alternator is bad(while its still running) it still run. meaning my alternator is good. im confuse if its the battery or something else. when i turn on my car i do see the battery light on the dash turn on.

An altinator can still charge but if the diode pack went out it will drain the battery. Do you have a dmm turn the car off and do an amp test on the battery

i honestly dont think its your alternator i think you have a parasitic load on your battery which is causing it to go out, did you recently install anything new to your car if you did then you might of gave it constant 12v which creates a parasitic load you can check it with a dmm to see if you do have one, but then again it could be the diodes in your alternator but at times it causes road noise coming out through the speakers, but check it with a dmm,or check with a vat40 or whatever system you can get to check diodes and chekc health on alternator. , GL man!

get an amp meter.
disconnect the positive lead, put the red from the amp meter on the battery, and the black lead on the positive cable.
cross fingers, hope your draw isnt too much to smoke your meter.
see how bad the draw is, then start pulling fuses to see what circuit the short is on and fix it.
