Default Basic questions

um Hi. i have a 96 civic cx and jsut put 17" maxxim maydays on it. now it sits high as f@ck and is annyoing the crap outta me. how should i go about lowering it? i mean coilovers are cheap, but i have to get new struts, dont i? and that place Ricky Racer has Loyboys coilovers with struts for 200 an axle. also, would anyone happen to have a set of either to sell? thanks for your time

do yourself a favor and spend a little more on your suspension, get quality stuff so you won't have to do it over later, you should always get new shocks with springs you stock shocks won't handle the different spring rates well

umm...if u want quality coilovers you should go with skunk2...but just as long as ur car hasn't be treated like crap just coilovers should be able to hold up...but u could find some new coilovers for probably less then 2 bills

you could probably get a decent (basic) spring/shock combo for like $500.00. But if you want ajustable suspension, then get coilovers.

aahh, u have discovered why body kits are so popular with the masses, those big akward things just don't tuck into a lil civic do they? at least they aren't 18's, but seriously, my friend had the same prolm and the only thing he could do w/o spendin alllot of money wuz get a body kit and lower it bout 1-2 inches. IMO, sell the 17's (even tho the highschool chicks love them) get sum 15's, a set of nice coilovers (the ones with shocks).... but thats just me either way, good luck, and have fun!
