Default Bad Main Relay?

Hey guys. My car will start up fine but after driving for a while, after I turn it off, it wont turn back on. It sounds like when you first put your key into accessory. I was thinking a bad main relay but thought i would get some opinions first. thanks

If it's hot outside and the car just cranks but doesn't start, it could be your main relay. Turn the key to the IGN position and listen for the fuel pump priming. If you don't hear anything, it's most likely your main relay.

If you don't hear your fuel pump prime, remove the rear seat and the fuel access cover. Put a meter on the wires and make sure power is going there for a couple seconds when the key is switched on to run position. If you have power there, your fuel pump may be going out. If you don't have power there, then swap your main relay.

if your pump is priming eveytime then the main relay is good. i'm taking it the car just doesn't start right? no clicking from the starter or is the car cranking but just not starting?

i have a similar problem myself. my car sometimes doesn't want to start. thought it was where i located the battery, but that wasn't the case.

If you describe exactly what happens (sounds) when you try to start it, you may get some better replies.

it's actually quite annoying!</TD></TR></TABLE>

I've been thinking the same thing. Lame ad placement

ya, it doesnt try to turn over. Its probably my starter. All I hear when i try to start it is my fuel pump priming. Thats all I hear. Its not trying to turn over or nothing. Then after a while I would try again and it would start. Its a for sure start the first time, its just after I've driven for a while, then try to start it again, it wont. Thanks again guys.

just checked all the wiring and everything is snug. All I can think of at this point is either my starter, or my battery is not producing enough juice. thanks again guys.
