Bad Idle...... On JDM B20B
I recently swapped in my JDM B20B w/50,000 into my eg, when my car is idling the rpm sometimes drops from 900 to all the way to 500 and jump back up to 900. WHne i am driving going about 20 miles then i press the clutch down to go into neutral the car dropps to 100 rpm or may die..... what can be the problem. I cleaned the IACV valve, add fuel injector fluid, checked timing, adjusted the idle screw and even took it to my mechanic and when my car is there the problem never happens so he cant really say anything...

check the tps. works everytime!
i had that problem on my b18b a long time ago. like you, i now have a jdm b20b.
good motor! love the torque! mate it with a short geared trans. and you'll go places! good luck.

first, you can locate the TPS sensor behind the throttle body. its black, and is facing the firewall. first loosen the two screws and turn it left or right, until the idle flattens out. (technically, you're supposed to get a voltage meter and get the right spec) hope that helps.

I had a similar problem. I tried everything but nothing worked until one day my friend let me borrow his P75 ecu. I plugged it in and everything was like stock. I was running a PR4 ecu before that.
