bad headgasket?
ok i have a ls motor in my hatch and ive noticed that the engine feels really hot after i drive it hard. The tempature gauge on the cluster stays noraml though and dosent move. I took out the plugs and checked all of them out and they all have a whitish look to them. The car runs fine and drives good. I also noticed that the coolant overflow has become fuller

well the temp gauge reads normal but when u touch it. It feels like its really damn hot almost to hot. plus all the plugs are white so that would indicate something is not right correct

Umm...a motor will get hot. That's why it has the little "do not touch" warning on the header cover.
EDIT: Why in the hell do you need to touch your motor after hard driving?

I don't follow you? Your temp guage reads normal, your car runs/drives fine, but you think something is wrong with a motor getting hot after hard use?
What do you think it does? It's an internal COMBUSTION engine. There are tons of little explosions going on in there..it's not going to be cool to the touch. Especially after hard driving.

its not really because its just hot.
1. The plugs are really white
2. The coolant overflow is almost overflowing and it was filled only halfway up
3. It seems like it is lacking power

You do realize that a motor does produce some crazy heat...so it will get hot. If your temp guage said that the temperature was HIGH, then I would start to worry that something is wrong.
After driving your NOT supposed to check your coolant
You also should fill your coolant up all the way. when the car is cold and off, fill up as much coolant, let it sink in and fill up more. Then with the rad cap still off, turn on your car and with it ideling fill up more coolant untill it won't take anymore

before you say he is running lean
how new are the spark plugs
new spark will not turn color(s) until at least a hundred miles

running lean can often contribute to overheating.
Factory gauges suck *****....PERIOD. Hook up a autometer gauge or a Greddy or a Defi gauge and watch the difference. The car's gauge will show normal operating temp before the aftermarket gauge even MOVES! There may be a 70 degree gap on the aftermarket gauge where the stock gauge does not move at all....fyi.
if you're nervous about anything, go get a leak down test.
