Default Back pressure?

I have a 93 Del Sol S. I put on a megan exhaust. Now when I get on the throttle it lags a little bit then the rpms start to rise, is this back pressure?

pretty sure its not a back pressure problem. first, how many miles does it have? and did this just start when you bolted the exhaust on?

You have less backpressure now. Like Brick Top said, you trade a little low end for more power where you use it, at the top.

Not a bad idea to check things like your spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor. So long as they are fresh you are golden.
