Default b7/y8 mini me swap, need help

so im kinda new with hondas but not with cars, i drive a 98 ek hatch that had a d16y8, after throwing a rod in the block and having a hard time finding another y8 block i decided to just throw a b7 block on, boost the comrression a little bit and see what happens, well currently the car is chopping up all throughout the rpm range, but with the right pedal pressure itll run fine, and i torqued the head bolts down to y8 specs (i used y8 head bolts) and my head actually became lose and sprayed antifreeze everywhere, so heres my question.
1. am i using the wrong head bolts?
2. why in the hell is it chopping up horribly?

Wrong head bolts. You need to use 9 '88-'95 D-series head bolts and 1 Y8 head bolt. The 1 Y8 head bolt goes on the passenger side corner closest to the firewall, where the vtec solenoid is.

your having a hard time finding a y8 block? are you serious....go to ANY junk yard you will find a crap load of them, also I would of used the y7 block, mini swap my friend boosted his and he said its awesome. also if you used the y7 block you wouldnt need to change the headbolts. NOW idk what a b7 is, but IMO i would of did what i stated above.
