B20z randomly stalling before warmup
Posting this here because the truck forum doesn't move, and because there's nothing substantially different about it than any B series in an EK... they're literally almost identical under the hood.
I've got a 99 CRV that's started occasionally stalling before it warms up completely. It'll start and idle perfectly, but when I pull it out of the garage, it'll stall at the first stop sign.
It'll start right back up, and usually run fine. No CELs.
I think it's fuel filter, but I wanted to get some more opinions. This started happening after I ran it out of gas, but I have reason to suspect some other things.
The day this started, I changed the thermostat, coolant, cap, rotor, and plugs (properly gapped). I started it up with the radiator cap off to cycle the fan and bleed the coolant. After about 20 minutes, I ran it out of gas (wife's car lol, what can I say?).
I added a couple gallons, but it did not want to start up again. I had to keep cycling the fuel pump on and off for about 5 minutes, and then it finally started, then stalled. Repeated, started, and stalled. Then finally started and kept running.
So, did I bork my fuel filter? Or did I get a bad cap or rotor? Anything else I should check out tonight?
