Default B20B w/ JDM ITR tranny???

I have just finished my swap. It's a JDM B20B mated to a JDM ITR tranny w/ a clutchmasters stage 4. My next step is the B20/VTEC. As for right now the power is great but I haven't taken it down the highway(if you know what I mean). How will this setup run on the highway?? What kind of digits would I see on the speedo?
The reasonI'm asking is because me and my friends are in a very heated debate on how beneficial the ITR tranny will be on the highway versus the long geared LS tranny. One friend said b/c of my tranny I would be around the same as a JDM B16A in the big #s because I have the close ratio tranny and the large torque band. While another one says that b/c the B20 has no kind of hp that it'll die out early no matter what kind of tranny is in there.

To tell you all the truth I have no clue. 1st the JDM B16 revs out at like 8300rpm while I'm only at 7000rpm. I think that'll make a difference. Then again the tranny is close geared to keep the power up(torque). For some reason I think that if I were to run a JDM B16A with the same mods I have on the highway I would jump out on them but they would eventually catch up and run past me. Just my .02. I really have no clue. Oh and I'm not gonna actually try and find someone to test that theory out with. Just a comparison b/c I've ridden in plenty JDM B16A hatches.

This is the 1st B20 setup in my import circle of friends(had to be different). Just trying to get some insight b4 I take down the highway and see what I'm working with.

Oh and my setup is
1992 Civic CX hatch
JDM B20B
JDM ITR Tranny
AEM short ram(No inner fenders so no CAI)
JDM DC 4-1 header w/ 2.5 collector
2.5 inlet/outlet Carsound Cat
Apexi N1 full catback
Clutchmasters Stage 4
AEM adjustable cam gears

Sorry for the double post(wasnt' getting any responses in Hybrid forum)

ITR and b16a trannys are good for all motor...they keep you in the powerband.

Shifting at 8000 with a b16a2 tranny keeps you in VTEC thru all the gears. ITR tranny will do the same. With an LS tranny you will fall out of the powerband, and with a lower FD and gear ratios your torque multipication will be less.

The ITR tranny will work great on just your b20...to a certain point. Problem is with a low redline you won't be able to go as fa st in each gear. Once you do a VTEC head swap you will definatly be able to use the tranny as it was designed.

A stock b20 will die out in the High rpms no matter what, transmission doesn't decide what rpm range your power is made in, cams and other things do.

i have b20 with si srans.. huge difference in power compared to a b16.. not on high though .. u'll kill b16 till u switch to fourth.. unless u get a v-tec head.. then u'll kill most setups...

I have a JDM B20B with the CTR tranny which has a 4.40 FDR. It really isnt that bad for highway's as other peopel say. Maybe I just have a nature for high revs? In terms of powerband, I shift and it picks up JUST below the PEAK figures.

Now, being that the JDM FDR is geared a tad higher. I think that when you shift, youll be OUT of powerband already. I DO know that the RPM's will be a bit higher, just dont know by how much.
