b20 vtec setup in a hatch
hey i just wanted to learn some more about the b20 vtec setup..
which b20 is best ive heard about b20b and b20z what is difference and whats better?
would this work? b16 complete swap.. and then change the block for a b20b block?
is it a torque monster?
good autocross car?
any more info would be great thanks

Re: (mishima_beef)
Only difference comes from the increased Compression in the B20Z compared to the b20b low compression...but if truly wish to make even more power out of the setup Increased compression thru either Pistons... or mill the head will show overall power thru out the entire powerrange..
my friend with a b20/vtec block made 170hp/140lbs torque at trackmasters.. which means he does make more if u correct it for altitude ....with stock head(Skunkstage1 cams) and 11.5 pistons and JDM 4-1 header with hondata tuned P28... it may not be the most out right hp maker but the midrange torque is nasty for such a simple setup
and yes with this type of midrange the car has available would make it a possibly killer autox setup and opentrack(hpde) vechile
