Default B20 Stroker

There is way too much mixed information about stroking a B-series motor. I have a LS Block that is currently being rebuilt (10.0:1) and sleeved to either 84 or 85mm. The crank I bought turned out to be worn, so I'm considering my options. I have looked at several after market cranks and it seems like Scat and Eagle make the best. How reliable will my B18 be with a 95mm or 92mm crank driven daily? Do you really loose high-end power? Should I worry about bearing wear with or without a turbo setup?

your really going to sleeve a B18 and bore it to 95mm? CRAZY! wouldnt be anything left, youd be boring out the sleeves!

If you want to go that big youll need a B20 block and have to have it sleeved! I was in the same situation not to long ago and i just decided to go B18c with eagle sleeves bored to 84mm with eagle lightweight crank and eagle rods and JE pistons! plenty of power i should be seeing!

I bought a used B20 block and crank that came from a CRV. The machine shop told me the block was unusable and the crank had so much wear that they don't make bearings with those kinds of clearances. The shop that's working on my car sucked it in and traded me for a B18 block. What size crank do you have?

There are so many pro's and con's to a 95mm stroke.

Personally for a daily driver i wouldnt recommend it. Make the extra displacement in the bore. I myself have a Eagle 95mm crank in my LS/Vtec which i am currently building. My reasons for going 95 was ,displacement, reduced piston dwell time at TDC which decreases chance of detination, increase bottom end torque, plus i dont plan to drive it everyday so if I have to change the bearings once a year thats fine with me. Here is the geomtry of it in 85mm bore size,

Engine Displacement (cid) = 131.59
Engine Displacement (liters) = 2.16
Engine Displacement (cc) = 2156.34
Single Cyclinder Volume (cid) = 32.90
Single Cyclinder Volume (liters) = 0.54
Single Cyclinder Volume (cc) = 539.08
# of Cyclinders = 4
Cyclinder Bore = 85.000 3.346
Piston Bore = 85.000 3.346
Crank Stroke = 95.000 3.740

Engine Geometry & Clearances

Rod Length = 137.000 5.394
R/S Ratio = 1.442
Maximum Engine RPM = 8021
Redline RPM = 8500
Maximum Piston Speed (fpm) = 5298.556

The maximum piston speed is pretty high with a 95mm and the maximum redline to.
