Default B20 OBD2 Alt Belt Squeak

Anyone have any ideas for me on how to fix an alt. belt squeak

WHen all lights and fans are off it doesn't startup and squake. Usually. But if I turn my lights on and off.. it squeaks when the lights are on. Same thing with my heater fan.

Any ideas on what I can do to fix this? Belt lube? Joint lube.. where do I use it. Anything I could try to, that might fix or help the problem please post.

1) check the belt for cracks and wear

2) replace belt if needed

3) if belt doesnt need to be replaced, tighten belt

pretty straight foward

Hummm belt is new as of few months ago. No cracks or anything.

How do you tighten the alt belt? I'm going to assume you move the alt. But from what I saw it's bolted down pretty good. Didn't see any bolts like what are on the pump belt.

Is there no where I can put grease or any products I can buy that might help solve this? Never used belt lube or belt dressing, but I've been told they are worthless....

there is a 14mm on the bottom, 12mm on top, just loosen the bolts then you can stick a pry bar or screw driver in between the alternator bracket and alternator to give it some more tenition then tighten the 12mm then the 14mm

Just DONT overtighten the belt, a little bit tighter is all you need
